Velvet to take over Sunday buses to Hythe

We are pleased to announce that Hampshire County Council have awarded us a contract to provide Sunday buses on route 8, linking Southampton, Totton, Marchwood and Hythe.
The new service will start next Sunday, 2nd March and will provide four journeys in each direction.
Following initial proposals to cut the Sunday service on this route completely as part of a wider review of services in this area by our fellow operator Bluestar, Hampshire County Council made a late decision to restore this level of service following a well attended public meeting last Friday 22nd February.
We are delighted to have won the contract and look forward to welcoming Waterside passengers on to our Sunday buses.
